【摘要】:Providesperformanceandsafetyrequirementsforhand-heldandhandledmetalchisels,punches,anddriftpins.Chiselsareintendedspecificallyforuseincuttingandshapingmetalobjects.Punchesanddriftpinsareintendedspecificallyforuseinmarkingmetal,fordrivingandremovingsuchthingsaspinsandrivets,andforaligningholesindifferentsectionsofmaterial.Powerdrivenchisels,punches,anddriftpinsareexcludedfromthisStandard.ThisStandardisintendedtoserveasaguideinselecting,testing,andusingthehandtoolscovered.ItisnotthepurposeofthisStandardtospecifythedetailsofmanufacturing.Inclusionofdimensionaldatainthisstandarddoesnotmeanthatallproductsdescribedhereinarestockproductionsizes.Consumersshouldconsultwithmanufacturersconcerninglistsofstockproductionsizes.Thisstandardmaybeusedasaguidebystateauthoritiesorotherregulatorybodiesintheformulationoflawsorregulations.Itisalsointendedforvoluntaryusebyestablishmentsthatmanufacturethetoolscovered.ThisStandardisalsomeanttoserveasaguideindevelopingmanualsandpostersfortrainingpersonneltoworksafely.
