【摘要】:Thesignificanceofthistestmethodinanyoverallmeasurementprogramdirectedtowardaserviceapplicationwilldependontherelativematchoftestconditionstotheconditionsoftheserviceapplication.Thistestmethodprescribesthetestprocedureandmethodofcalculatingandreportingdatafordeterminingtheslidingwearresistanceofplastics,usingcumulativevolumeloss.Theintendeduseofthistestisforcoarsescreeningofplasticsintermsoftheirresistancetoslidingwear.1.1Thistestmethodcoverslaboratoryproceduresfordeterminingtheresistanceofplasticstoslidingwear.Thetestutilizesablock-on-ringfrictionandweartestingmachinetorankplasticsaccordingtotheirslidingwearcharacteristicsagainstmetalsorothersolids.1.2Animportantattributeofthistestisthatitisveryflexible.Anymaterialthatcanbefabricatedinto,orappliedto,blocksandringscanbetested.Thus,thepotentialmaterialscombinationsareendless.Inaddition,thetestcanberunwithdifferentgaseousatmospheresandelevatedtemperatures,asdesired,tosimulateserviceconditions.1.3Weartestresultsarereportedasthevolumelossincubicmillimetresfortheblockandring.Materialsofhigherwearresistancewillhavelowervolumeloss.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
